How Babs got into fishing:
Babs grew up in the north of Berlin. Babs has been fascinated by the world of fish since childhood. She got her biological knowledge about the fish from her dad, who watched countless fish documentaries with her and went snorkeling with her in the lake and sea. Dad, who is a hobby diver himself, did not go fishing with her. It was two school friends who introduced Babs to fishing. The boys went to Lake Tegel together with Babs and with a rod. With worm and float she caught her first fish, a perch. Immediately her passion for the hobby of "fishing" flared up, which she still enjoys pursuing to this day.
Move to France
France has always been one of Bab's favorite fishing destinations. In 2021 she decided to leave Germany and moved to France without speaking a word of French. In the land of carp and catfish, she is now letting off steam and testing new waters.
Bab's home waters
Initially, your domestic waters were the rivers and lakes in and around Berlin. Later for a few years it was the Rhine in Cologne and various quarry ponds in NRW. The urge to explore new, fish-rich waters made Babs travel again and again. She is particularly fond of the large bodies of water, which is why she is regularly out and about in her boat.
favorite fish?
Perch, pike, zander. carp and catfish. salmonids and marine fish. Babs cannot and does not want to commit herself to which type of fish and which fishing technique she prefers to fish with. It is the appeal of the diversity that allows her to try out new techniques again and again.
Around the world with a fishing rod:
Travel is always a fishing trip!!! She fishes regularly in Spain, France and Holland. But she has also been successful with her fishing rod several times in the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, in Outer Mongolia, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, England, Italy, Austria and on islands in the Indian Ocean.
Bab's "Job"
Babs was seen on TV again and again, she visited Stefan Raab twice on TVtotal and was on the road with Matt Hayes for the Discovery Channel in the UK and Canada. Babs had a fishing show on DMAX together with Auwa Tiemann, "Das Angelduell" and she moderated the Fisch&Fang professional league and the Youtube Predator Cup from Hecht&Barsch several times.
In 2021, Babs was in the celebrity BigBrother house. For a week she lived with other celebrities in the well-known container. Getting out of the comfort zone is what keeps Babs growing.
Since 2016, Babs has focused purely on online, self-determined and authentic.
She feeds Facebook, Instagram and TikTok with her spectacular fishing pictures and videos. She regularly publishes entertaining fishing videos from all over the world on YouTube, as well as informative fishing tutorials.
Babs is always looking for special fishing experiences and exciting expeditions into the wilderness. She is doing what she always dreamed of, traveling the world with a fishing rod.
What Babs is most excited about fishing is not THE big catch. She loves nature, just likes to be by the water and enjoys every moment!
